HPC Facilities – Z3

Z3 is a state-of-the-art high performance computing system able to address fundamental research to technology transfer activities concerning different investigation fields ensuring high complexity and fidelity.

Z3, launched in 2015, using a hybrid architecture, and includes 143 compute Intel Xeon dual socket nodes that integrates different types of multi-core CPUs and GPUs, interconnected all together by Mellanox InfiniBand HDR, HDR-100 and FDR .

B18 is a high performance computing system for the development phase of the numerical modelling activity, educational activities and for training purpose. B18 is able to address fundamental research to technology transfer activities concerning different investigation fields.

B18 uses a hybrid architecture, and includes 54 compute Intel Xeon dual socket nodes that integrates different types of multi-core CPUs interconnected all together by Mellanox InfiniBand QDR.
